Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas famously known as Ashanti. Ashanti was birthed on the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She's a performer and an actress who hails from her native United States. Ashanti started her career in the teen years, she was signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. That same year, she appeared in Fat Joe's What's Luv? The song "What's Love?" by Fat Joe and Ja Rule's song "Always on Time was a huge hit for both of them. When she released"What's Luv, at number two at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at the top spot and Foolish being her first single, she became the only female artist to accomplish this feat.
